Finding my passion was just the beginning...

I started my journey in birth work in 2018 when I began working as a nurse in labor and delivery which is how I came up with Love, A Labor Nurse. I loved every bit of learning new information and how different every labor could be. I am a certified childbirth educator, doula, and lactation specialist. My favorite part about birth is teaching women each step of their labor and allowing them to make informed choices in such an important memory. I have experience in VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean), spinning babies, non-medicated births, multiples, lactation, and postpartum.

I graduated from Illinois Central College in 2017 then went on to get my BSN from University of Arizona in 2021. I am currently enrolled at Frontier Nursing University pursuing my MSN to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. 

In my free time, I love spending time with my kids, crafting, or learning something new. 

I cant wait to bring my passion and experience to your birth!

Ciera, RN, BSN, CLS

I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2019 with my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. For the majority of my nursing career I have worked as a Postpartum Nurse. Recently, I have transitioned to working on the Neonatal Intermediate Care unit. Working as a Postpartum Nurse and transitioning into a new position focused solely on the newborn has made the love and passion that I have for Women’s Health even more apparent than it was before. 

I am currently working on my Masters in Business Administration in hopes of pivoting into corporate work. However, I am grateful that being on the Love, A Labor Nurse team will allow me the opportunity to continue to serve women during their labor and postpartum journey. 

I’m extremely family oriented and am obsessed with my parents and two sisters. We have two doggies in our family that bring us all so much love and light. 

I am excited to meet you all as you journey through your pregnancy and postpartum periods.

Ebonnie, BSN, RN, CLS 

I graduated from Methodist College of Nursing in 2020 with my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. Before becoming a nurse I was a medical office assistant in an obstetrician office which started my love for women's health. After graduating college I began my nursing career as a postpartum nurse where I was also trained to help on labor and delivery. I am well rounded when it comes to working with pregnancy, labor and delivery, postpartum, and lactation. I became a Certified Lactation Specialist in 2021 and I have also taken classes for Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders. My passion is in Women's Health and supporting families through pregnancy and the postpartum period. 

In my free time I love spending time with my two boys and family. BBQ's, bonfires, traveling, sports, and family dance nights are the ways to my heart. My family plays a huge role in my life and I believe that has inspired my passion to help support growing families.

I look forward to meeting you and your family and being support through such a life changing experience. Growing a family is truly a beautiful thing!

Adaobi, BSN, RNC-MNN, CLS

I graduated from Western Illinois University in 2015 with a degree in Psychology. I then worked as a mental health professional for youth in care before graduating from Illinois Central College in 2020 with an associates degree in nursing, followed by a bachelor’s in nursing from Eastern Illinois University in 2022. I started my nursing career as a postpartum nurse, and added level II neonatal intensive care (special care nursery) to my nursing care areas. I enjoy women’s health and newborn care because I’m passionate about preparing and assisting women in the transition process of adding a new family member. 

I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter, working out, exploring new places, and snuggling up with snacks watching Netflix. 

I’m hopeful I can be a helpful addition to your unique family building experience.
